Cold water temps in July/ Aug. make sharkin' tough.
San Diego water temps have been extremely cold for this time of year, so the day shark fishing trips have been slower overall than we are used to. We have seen fewer sharks than typical for this time of year, but we have hooked some good ones. Today angler Randall Bryett hooked and busted off a 350lb mako on fly gear fishing 30 lb tippett. We have had a handful of trips lately in witch we have gone all day without a shark. A tough day of sharkin' is still a relaxing day on the water and out of the office!
